Default Wanted to share: Outfits for DD's birthday party...

I have a friend that is embroidering a shirt for my daughter but I made the pants and I also made a dress for her doll. The dress is a little tight in the sleeves but it was my first attempt....with no pattern either. Overall, I think I did pretty good. Oh the theme is Minnie Mouse...well all of them actually. lol

DD and her pants...sorry it is blurry, it is with my phone and she would not be still. lol

You did a great job, especially without a pattern! Your DD is adorable!!

Thanks! I was kinda proud of myself for making the dress without a pattern. I just used one of the doll's outfits and traced it out for a pattern. The sleeves were tricky since I couldn't get a good measurement. But they fit for the most part. lol

And thanks, I think DD is a cutie too. lol But I am bias.

How cute! You did great. I don't "sew" at all because I'm bad with waists, elastic, sleeves, sizing, everything!

I just now got the pants down right. They usually ended up capris. I figured out the tutorial I was following left off the last step and I was assuming it wrong. So yay for pants. I changed out the elastic today because it just felt too tight, I added an inch to it and it fits better. I still need to practice sleeves though.

I use to make my DD ruffles on the ends of her pants, to make them longer and made a matching blouse. She hated wearing them. I thought it was a clever idea, she didn't. That was in th late 70s, or early 80s. She is grown now but, still remembers.
