Ironically, when you drink more water instead of tea, coffee or soda, your kidneys adjust and you actually DON'T go more than before after the adjustment period. That is a myth. As for joints, read the book "Your Body's Many Cries for Water". It is an eye-opener. We are 70% water and need replenishment all day long and tea (unless it is herb tea), coffee and especially soda do NOT count toward your water intake.

I have to push myself to drink all that water but I can feel the difference when I do get my eight glasses in. Food tastes better even the way I cook. Not so many aches and pains. It also helps with the urge to munch. The only thing it hasn't done is increase my cup size. Oh well.
