No frost here yet in SD (which is unusual), but sounds like were to expect light snow by Wed. this next week.

Have had the heater on for about a week. DH says it is not a contest to see how long I can keep it off. For a week the grass in the morning crunches under foot and our beautiful fall is almost past its peak.

No frost yet in my yard, even tho we're about a month past when we usually get our first frost! It's so weird to look out in my backyard and see pink Impatiens still blooming thru the fallen brown leaves. The whole lawn is covered in fallen leaves, so much so, you can't see any green grass. The last few mornings, the temp's. been in the low 40's, so a chill to the air, but not 32, yet.

If memory serves me right, we have had it once in N Illinois. We also were under a frost advisory last night. It was out there this morning but not bad. Guess I really better get my plants inside.

"Frost"!!!!! I still have the air condition on during the day. So far our lowest temp has been 51 overnight. We get frost about once every two or three years and that is plenty enough for me. I always think that 80 is a good year round temp.
