Just finished a very modern, very densely quilted 96x96 quilt for customer (pictures tomorrow--need daylight to photograph) and if I could only get my body off the couch I'd go upstairs and get the info needed to download EQ8. Has anyone already downloaded an update? Any thoughts about it? Would love to hear what you think! post, please.

I have EQ6 and am seriously thinking about the new version. I'd also be interested in what people think of it.

I've purchased it, downloaded it, and installed it, but that's as far as I got.

I’ve been working with it for almost a week now. I never did much with my EQ7. I think this is easier to use but I’m still getting used to it.

I'm also still getting used to it. I think I will love it! I couldn't resist upgrading from EQ7 with the 25% off (good through next week).

I have EQ7 but I use it for two things. Import and trace and paper piecing patterns. So the upgrade wouldn't change those two thing enough for me to use it. EQ8 can post on Facebook directly from the program and make online postings easier. If you use most of the features of EQ then the upgrade would be a great bargain now.

I've had it for a few days and Im not loving it. Finding it not user friendly. Too many changes. Also found it disappointing that I have to print out the manual or buy it. The book won't be available till the end of November.

I downloaded the new EQ8. Have to find quiet time to sit and go through the new edition.

I upgraded from EQ7 to EQ8 and have started using the new version. Took me a little while to get used to the new layout, but once you become familiar with it, not much different than EQ 7. Didn't notice the new blocks and fabric. I do like the printing options. I also found it easier to draw blocks in EQ8. I had to move the folders with downloaded projects , blocks and fabrics from the EQ7 folder to the EQ8 folder. Don't like that I will have to open each project and rename it with the EQ8 extension to see it in the list of existing projects. Just my take so far after only a few days of use. Like WandaVA I couldn't resist the 25% off to purchase early. I did download the manual and quick start guide. Don't bother with the quick start guide if you have used EQ at all.
