Congratulations - that is great. In the future, I don't think many marriages will make it that many years. Congratulations to you and your husband. - Cynthia

Congratulations. My husband and I are coming up on 36 years. I can't say I "knew" we would last, but I certainly hoped we would. My 31-year-old son is proud that his parents are still together, while my younger doesn't seem to care. My parents were married 52 years when my mother passed away. I can remember being glad they were together, as my son does now. I know people split up for many reasons, and I don't make judgments. Still, I'm glad to be able to give the gift of a long marriage to my children, and I hope my son's marriage (one year and counting) lasts as long. Clearly it's important to him.
