Reminds me of my own traditional wedding vows. When the preacher got to part where "I pledge thee my troth" was to be repeated, my DH said, "I pledge......" So, the preacher repeated it. "I pledge thee my troth." To which my DH hurriedly muttered, "I pledge thee my throat." He was just dumbfounded and couldn't understand why he'd have to pledge his throat! He claimed never to have heard of the words troth or betrothed. We had a great chuckle over that. And the best part is I have an audio tape of it as well.

My cousin did say 'awful' at the rehersal. We were all VERY attentive at the wedding ceremony to see if it would slip put again.

Ditter, where would we be without your humor! I loved this and am still laughing. Thanks for making our days filled with joy and laughter! My husband does not remember much of our vows because he was watching my sister in law who was standing beside me. He thought she was going to faint!!!

LOL! See, this is exactly why I had the priest just say the vows and all we had to say was "I do."
