Default Wedding veil

My daughter is getting married for the first time (she will be 40 next week) I am making her veil. She would like to have ribbon on the edge of the veil. Any ideas on how to attach it?

I would use invisible thread and sew it on.

Would you do it by hand or on the machine? Thanks

Sew it on with the invisible thread, but also suggest you use your walking foot. Do a test sample and see how it goes. Good luck to you as well your beautiful bride.

Agree sew it on with invisible thread, walking foot, do sample first you might have to lengthen your stitch depending on your machine. Take your time is the important thing.
Good Luck & Congratulations to the bride

Be sure that your ribbon isn't to heavy for the fabric of the veil, if it's not very wide it should be fine, do use a walking foot, and be sure your area is wiped down so nothing will get on the fabric, also use a new needle to be sure there are no snags

For the veils I have made, I have used 1/8" white ribbon and done a slight zigzag with a normal to longer length stitch. It works nicely. Just hold the ribbon loosely in your fingers as you are sewing it. Don't worry too much about getting it exactly on the very edge. After you are done you can always trim the netting easily with scissors. It is very forgiving . May your daughter be so blessed on her wedding day and in her marriage.

I use white thread.
