Missy don't look at it as a shut door, but as a time to continue the good work you are currently doing. I'm sending you a magic wand, use it wisely.

Yes Missy, do hang in there. Just think how pleased you will be when they see this did not throw you for a loop.

A number of years ago I was in a very dark tunnel. There was a light, but I was holding a flashlight and it was reflecting off a mirror. It took quite a while before that light changed to an opening. I remember the day I realized I did not have to accept the place I was in. A huge weight came off me. I'm still recovering from that time but I refuse to go back there again. Every day is a chance to go forward. I pray that you will be truly blessed in your journey.

Missy:

Keep up the diet and exercise and working on your mental health. Who knows, by January you may be well on your way to making your goals without the surgery. Focus on getting to a more healthy you!

Thank you to every single one that answered my plea for support. You all are so wonderful.

I am not going to give up for anything. I have lost so much already and I am going to try and hit the 60 pound mark by the end of September. I am not going to quit no matter how disappointed I am.

As someone said to me this afternoon, I am a winner by losing the weight and that psychologist cannot take that away from me. Not now or ever.

Missy

Just keep up the good fight. Just one day at a time. Sounds like she could use some therapy for her bedside manner. We are here for you.

You'll get through this. Just think that when they do give permission (think of when not "if") then you'll be able to handle it better. My girlfriend who had it done had it postponed like 3 times and had to go through all the psych evals and she didn't have the background you have. So, comparing it to others....this is typical. She got her permission and you will too one day.

Recipe.............BLT good for a snack

BLT

1 tomatoes
1 tsp bacon bits (I live oscar mayer)
1 tsp light mayo
1 tbsp plain yogurt
lettuce leaves

Cut tomatoes into small chunks, mix in bacon bits, mayo and yogurt. Put in fridge for a few hours. Mix again, fill lettuce leaves and roll for a wrap.

I do calories and this is about 100 cal so it is a good snack.

Gave up butter, walk or bike in the mornings, bike ride at night, no soda pop, watch what I eat and I've gained 3 pounds! aghhhh! I tried to measure myself like Gwyn suggessted, but my measure only goes to 36", bummer.

The positive is I like the bike riding. My body is adjusting to excercising and I am enjoying it. Even tonight when I rode 6 miles on a broken seat in 111" heat.

This plateau has to break soon.
