I gotta sign up for this fitness pal thing. Maybe it will kick my butt and help me to stick to eating proper portions instead of eating everything on the table... and the table too! Golly...

Carrie that wasn't a bad price for a prom dress. It seemed with 18 months Joyce needed a prom dress then she had a few freinds weddings the girls were a few years older then her but all knew each other so she couldn't wear the same dress. It was crazy. After she was done with all the gowns she brought then to a place that sells used clothes. It was around Feb she brought them in since it wasn't quite prom season but kids were looking for them. I think she got back about 1/2 of what she paid for them. At least it wasn't a total loss.

When is it and we want pictures!!!!!!!!!! The dress sounds beautiful. What size shoes does she wear?

This is the link to a girly quilt top I did this week.

Both of these are for the Tymeless hearts charity that I will involved with in June.
I really like them. I am making baby quilts for Lent and wanted a simple pattern I am going to use the pattern you used on the girly top.

I just got on a little while ago. I spent the day in Paducah shopping for a prom dress for my DD. $168.00 bucks later she has a beautiful black satin dress with white crystal gyms on it. Never in my life did I think I would spent that much for a one time wear dress. We still have to find shoes to match the dress.
And get her hair done and get her nails and toes done and, and and.
    Proms are REALLY expensive.
I had 3 boys. God knew what he was doing when he gave me boys. :)

Great quilts in my head...nothing in my machine.

Thank you. I think the wonky stars is my favorite so far.

Maybe you should just try cutting some fab's and see if that can get you started. Just think about the Veterans charity quilts you get to make and how much they will be appreciated. You have some nice new fab's to make them with.
I have days when I wish I could not sew but I have no choice right now. I am almost finished with the tops then I can start sandwiching and quilting. I hate to sandwich quilts but it has to be done.

Yea they did but I was one of those mean mom's and made them pay for them by them selves.
For our youngest we fixed a really nice dinner for he and about 8 other couples. It was fun and everyone enjoyed being served. They saved a bundle. That was when dinner was not included with the prom. I am told it is now.
All 3 of my boys are now married and 2 have children.

The prom is at the end of April and yes I will take pictures.
Her boyfriend was with us today and when I asked him what he thought of the dress he said as long as she likes it then he will be happy. I think he is a keeper!!

This is her junior prom so she doesn't want to go all out but next year she will get the whole head to toe treatment whether she wants it or not.
