I've mostly been a mom. In addition to that, I've worked as a bookkeeper for a grain elevator, an engineering secretary, a bank teller, and right now a part-time librarian.

Wow, I had no idea there were so many RN's on the board. I'm another one!
My husband and I were able to retire at 55 and we've had a ball ever since. My work years were very satisfying, I worked as a PA in surgery for a couple of surgeons, then when we moved to GA., I was a home health care supervisor for a large area of Atlanta. I retired to care for my Mom who was dying with Pancreatic Cancer. I've never regretted working and certainly not retiring!

I'm a dietitian. I work in a hospital. Nope, I don't prepare the food. Though I really like much of my career, if I had my "druthers", I'd be at home knitting, making quilts and baking every day!

If I didn't have a job- there would a lot of jobs that interest me here.

I own a title insurance company for the past 4 years. I am a licensed title agent with 24 years experience. I have 1 full time and 2 part time employees.

That said- I work 6 days a week, sometimes 12 to 14 hour days. I am tired. :) But at the same time I feel very blessed that my company has grown in a poor economy and I have given jobs to 2 people who were unemployed for a long time (one for 2 years).

I love my job, the hours, the people, the crap thrown at me by Realtors, Lenders, buyers, sellers.... :)

(and I make enough to buy fabric and that makes me very happy)

I was a Computer Media Specialist for our local school district. It was my pleasure to teach the students how to use computers properly. I did this for 22 years and loved every minute.
I retired in October but I'm having trouble pulling my finger out of the pie. I'm now teaching the teachers how to work with students on the computers. Teachers are not as much fun as the students and I only do it on a limited bases. (Fabric money)

I am a special needs school bus driver. I love the children and driving but HATE the school politics and back stabbing that goes on. 6 more years and I will retire with 30 years doing this job.

I have been in health care since 1980 in one role or another. I have been aide to Director of nursing.I am currently a critical care nurse with burn out issues as well. Every once in a while I come across a patient that makes my day but they are becomming fewer and farer between. Guess I need to look harder cause no retirment in site. Hiding out on the night shift cause I can't deal with all the BS and drama the "young-uns" throw out there.( no offence to any young nurses out there, it's just that some of them...whew they kill me, esp this time of year with all the you mean I have to work christmas? I'm like yes baby girl you chose health care....)

Now i "work for my son's" taking care of my Granchildren (4) Mon-Sat 8:00-8:00PM Keeps me youg at heart but not a lot of quilting time except for Sundays. It is a great job most of the time. I get to stay home, set my own time frame, sew a little at nap time. The best is i don't have to dress up to go to work
