What a beautiful sound. I really miss those sounds. Living in a gated community in Florida, I'm lucky to hear birds.

Thanks for bringing back memories. We used to vacation at Sharbot Lake every year. Such fun.

Those loons sound wonderful! There are a few loons in the Adirondacks and that is the closest place to where I live to see and hear them - that I know of, at least!

'Course... I could just cross the border into Niagara Falls, Canada, and head north.

Maybe someone from Ontario knows of a vacation spot I could go, to find loons?

How late in the season do they stay around? And where do they go for the winter?

The loons normaly hang around till the beginning of November then they head south for the mid US. What is so strange about that video is loons are more of a solitary bird, you will see a male and a female together at one time, but not 5 at once. Have pictures of 6 together.
