Default What does "thumbup" Mean?

I see people using this term and I cannot figure it out. Could you please let me in on it?

That's what it means when I use it.

It really should show the little "thumbs up" icon, but for some reason it isn't doing it correctly. Anyone know why?

It is a sign of agreement, too. I think sometimes it shows it correctly and sometimes not. I just put a thumbs up on my message. Let's see what it does.

I think when it shows up as the typed word "thumbup", that person might be attempting to use the code from the old board. The code would post as a graphic. The new board is easier to use, all you have to do is click the smiley you want.

I use it for good job, like it, way to go. etc.
I guess it could be used to tell someone to take a hike too.
