I have the same thing in my shower we use it every time we get out of the shower just a quick wipe down so easy AND it works great getting crayon off of your cutting mats!

It works great!
We have a glass surround on 2 sides of our shower, with tumbled marble tile on the other 2 walls. We rinse and squeegee the glass daily, but it still gets soap scum on it. I tried the soap scum Magic Eraser and was amazed! I did it twicw and it looks wonderful! I am planning on going over the glass once a week (in addition to the daily squeegee) to keep it sparkling. I haven't used it on the tile yet. The bottom tiles get a film build-up too. We rinse and wipe them down (also daily) with a Sham-Wow (really absorbs the water!) but I think I will try th Magic Eraser on that too, this weekend.
This is not the same as the regular Magic Eraser. This one just came out.

Hmmm I am wondering if you could get that stuff you put on your wind shield to repel water and put that on your shower door and it would repel soap scum........I think I might try this......
[quote=amma]My BFF's mom has extremely hard water and a lot of iron in it as well. We got her tub/enclosure all clean, and then gave it a good dose of Marine paste wax. It helps to repel the iron and hard water scale. Makes cleaning with regular/more gentle bathroom cleaners easier too. We re wax it every couple of months, which is still easier than all of the scrubbing we used to have to do.
We did place one of the rubber mats in the bottom of the tub with suction cups on the bottom to keep her from slipping/falling :D:D:D[/q

When I moved into my house, the back wall of my tub enclosure had what looked like black handprints all over it! No idea what caused it, suspected it was mold coming thru from the other side. Tried for 8 years to get it off -- every cleaner on planet Earth, steam, scraper, all to no avail. Then I tried Awesome, a liquid cleaner that many on here recommended. You can find it at the Dollar Store.
I wet down the wall, waited about ten minutes, and was able to easily wipe the marks off with a soft scrub!!! EIGHT STINKIN YEARS and I couldn't get that stuff off.

A really strange cleaner is nothing more than bath soap on a sponge and scrub. I read somewhere that the scum is just soap anyway so I tried it and it works for me. I understand the difference in the waters might make a difference but I have had good luck with this.

We spray the shower after we shower most days and in-between we swegee it that keeps the scum down and I never have to scrub. Waxing is a good idea, I have alsways meant to do that and never did.

My daughter lives where there is very hard water. She cleaned up her shower with a lot of elbow grease. since then she has been using Target's Daily Shower spray after each shower and her shower area always looks great.
