My 2 sons came over and did some yard work in the front of our house. Yard needed some heavy weeding, tree pruning, foundation plants trimmed, weedblock put down and covered with mulch. They also secured the timbers around the tree and foundation plantings. All done within 2 1/2 hours. They did a great job. All leftovers have been bagged and ready for recycling pickup.

Made them lunch of one of their childhood favorites, individual potato, sausage and egg pies (fritatas), fresh Italian bread and some juicy beefsteak tomatoes. We all enjoyed the lunch and talking about Bob's DD's recent engagement.

I got to see the grandkids today (they are my hubbies grandkids from his daughter) and nothing makes my day more than when they come running and leap into my arms for a hug and kiss, and then tell me all the trouble they have been getting into. I wish I had more time to spend with them but since she has not seen her dad in a while I just stayed a bit and then came home. (we are building a house and she has never been up to the property before).
I love them to pieces!!!!

For me it's being able to honestly answer a question my ex-daughter in law asked me and finding out I was happy. My ex and I after 26 yrs of marriage have recently ended it due to his drinking. My daughter in law texted me and asked how I was doing. I told her that with each change that I make to my house to make it more mine and each day I talk to my daughter and friends it gets easier. I told her that I'm enjoying being alone and that I was happy. That felt so good to say. It's like a dark cloud was lifted. Life is good due to the little things in life like our family and friends and piece of mind

I went to my LQS to pick up a pattern for a class next sunday, it is a Judy Neimeyer class and the pattern had been on order. Anyway, this store has a clearance room where all fabric is $5/yd. that included the batiks. Needless to say 5 more yards of batiks came home with me....that always makes for a good day!!
