I canned 7 pints of zucchini relish - and I think it came out GREAT!!! just like I've been trying to do.

It's also a wonderful summer day - mid 80s...which means we save money by not having the air conditioner running.

I spent the day with my Parents, kids and little sister. We worked in their garden, made pickles, and had a great dinner!

Went to church, prayed over and blessed 31 Prayer Shawls for the WV miners families we made, watered the gardens at the State Fair grounds in preperation for the fair next month (so pretty), and had lunch with DH. Oh, and finished my Bow Tucks bag which I gave to DD as she really liked it. That put a smile on her face which put one on mine.
Oh, and talked to DS who is recovering from carbon monoxide poisoning (his big rig AC wasn't working and fumes came in his cab while sleeping cuz he had the windows open for air) and heat exhaustion. He is doing much better. Yeah! It was a great day. Wow, got alot done, too.

Had a "date" for a dinner with my DH. Ate too much, but it was all yummy!

Picked the first cuke out of our garden, planted some flowers under the tree outside my bedroom window, planted some heat loving plants in the wagon wheel planter in back yard.

Any day where I get to go to town and spend uninterrupted time in a fabric shop is a great day  Yes I got to spend 3 hours in a fabric shop yesterday morning and loved it.
