I have a lot of talk radio on. Just nice background noise so I dont feel all alone.

I don't longarm but do work at my Bernina listening to CDs (10 of them) that my son has made for me over the years containing songs/singers I love.
A real mixed bag: old country (no new stuff - too cleaned up) like Haggard, Willie, Waylon, Allison Kraus; some Edith Piaf, Garland; lots of old rock and Motown: Dylan, Clapton, Smokey, Gaye, Elvis, Ronnie Milsap
Old folk: Weavers, Baez, Dylan, Peter Paul and Mary.
Some Christmas hymns, some blues and jazz
    That's about 3 CDs worth

When not in a music mood I have the tv on to baseball if there's a game on or political talking heads

I don't listen to music while FMQ because I am too easily distracted.

I always listen to country, particularly old country. I like George Jones, Conway Twitty and others.......and sometimes new country, Alan Jackson, Brad Praisley, Trace Adkins...........

One Sunday morning I was FMQing, and Korsakov's 'Flight of the Bumblebee' came on the radio. I found myself trying to keep up with the pace of the music. I was paying more attention to the music than the quilting, and managed to quilt myself into a corner! I listen to many different types of music. I load up my 10-disc changer and hit the random shuffle button. One song is from Carmen, then next might be Led Zepplin followed by Waylon Jennings. I like the surprise.
