Default What is the oddest fabric you've ever seen?

OK, I'll start.
What .... where .... who ..... why ....?
I'm just not sure if I can use it, purchased simply as a conversation piece from the thrift store.
(forgive me if one of you has used this in a quilt)

That's very unusual. I can't beat that!

None of it seems odd when I buy it - later when I try to work some of it into a quilt it can be a challenge.

That is pretty weird, all right. I bought some fabric for I Spys that had light bulbs with funny little faces. When I got it home I noticed some of the light bulbs were smoking cigarettes and there were cups of coffee on it too!

I don't recall having ever bought any unusual fabric.

Someone donated a panel print to our church quilting group. Bears were doing humorous things while hunting or fishing. On closer inspection, they were intoxicated! We were able to use a few of the less obvious pictures, but some are still hanging around.

Yes...agree with that. I have bought some pieces that looked good to me and then later said 'what was I thinking!'

Pretty funny, that must have been off of a cartoon somewhere. Can't top that.
