I call my oldest granddaughter (who is 16 now) Sweetpea.

My husband's nickname is Hamster Man. I guess because he has a furry face and is round and happy like a hamster.

I used to call my youngest daughter Julie, boo-ba-la when she was little. Sometimes I still think of her as my little boobala, even though she has Sweetpea and four younger children.

My husband calls me Deara, no one else we know has that endearment for a nickname.

I don't want people I do not know to call me by any other name/s...pet or people, lol. I call my daughter, "My Chickeedee"...I do not know why.

My middle daughter has the nickname Gomer, her real name is Meredith. While playing a family game she would always be distracted whenever it was her turn. My youngest daughter kept telling her to go mer, it's your turn. Finally it turned into
gomer. That was at least 15 years ago and she has been called Gomer every since. I have to think to call her by her real name in public so as not to embarrass her. The name Gomer does seem to fit her so well.

When I was a little girl, My nickname was Sweetie and my Sisters and Brother still call me that to this very day.

One of our DGD is nicknamed "Pnut". Mom and dad are expecting a new baby (Pnut's sister) so we've decided her nickname needs to be Popcorn!! What do you think?
