My best friend sang, "If" by Bread, at our wedding. I still absolutely love that song.

hubby and i eloped--snowbound two nights on the way to so. dak. changed into my wedding dress in a texaco gas station bathroom--married in the judge's chamber. (christmas eve) 43 years later, we're still together.

my middle daughter marched down the aisle to a traditional tune--but marched out to the original closing march from star wars, under an arch of light sabers held by the ushers! love that kid!!

My husband and I eloped because my mom wouldn't sign the papers. (I was 17). We went to Mexico and was married in Spanish by a justice of the peace in Juarez!! My husband use to tell people he didn't know he was getting married, he thought he was ordering a taco. We went out to dinner to a patio resturant and a strolling Mariachi band played La Paloma Blanca. That became our song. A year later we were married in a church ceremony and remained married for 30 years. He passed away in Nov 1993 and I will join him again some day in the presence of our Lord!

When we married in 1982, I walked down the aisle to "You Decorated My Life". (Kenny Rogers). It was sung first. Then after the singing was over, the guitarist and organist continued to play it while the attendants and then I walked down the aisle.

Traditional..."Here Comes the Bride". I didn't plan anything. I just relaxed. It was wonderful. If I would have known I could have picked something different I would have choesn something by John Denver. I saw John Denver 5 times I think, and Neil Diamond many times. Next year we will be celebrating 35 years. YIPPIE!!!!

This is a fun thread thanks for starting this one!

My brother played "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" on the banjo. We married on the side of a cliff in the Colorado National Monument. Fitting place for a paleontologist/geologist and I to get married!

DH and I were married in a park, on a beautiful sunny day--no music--except the songs in our hearts! :-D

I went to Hawaii in 1974 and visited Fern Grotto where all the married couples were 're-married' in there. The trip was my 'Divorce Present' from me to me, so it was kinda sad. Even sadder to think Fern Grotto is no longer there.
