Worst food ever....the list could go on and on seeing as I'm very picky with textures but fresh whole tomatoes are pretty hard for me to stomach..

Actually, I don't think beef tongue is bad, although not a favorite for sure. I cooked it once because it was all the meat we had left at the time. Once I got over the intial (ewwww gross) thoughts in my head, I realized it wasn't as bad as my mind had told me it would be.
Absolutely detest beef liver, makes good fish bait is the best I can say for it.
Also, I'd just as soon eat grass as turnnip greens. Just nasty!
Mountain oysters, and oysters in general are both on my taboo list. Don't care for seafood much either with the exception of flounder and shrimp.

when first married my husband wanted kidneys, I bougth them and his Italian grandfather cooked them. I walked into the house and left immediatly. I worked in a medical lab and smelled the same smell all day from specimens and was not going to ever eat them. Married 40 years and he has never had them since.

Years ago the neighbor guy was graduating from college and his wife was having a small celebration party for him and we were invited - I went over early to help her get stuff set up and as we walked in the house I felt so SORRY FOR HER because I thought the dog had had a very stinky accident in the living room just as the party was to start...
wasn't that at all - it was some kind of cheese and I think I offended all and sundry for thinking it was dog poo.....

To PZAZZ - if you lived closer (I'm in NJ) I'd say let's go out for liver and onions. I recently had some at a first-time-there restaurant and it was wonderful. As a child I was a picky eater but loved two things -- liver and lamb. Now I won't eat lamb but if I'm out and liver is on the menu, I'm there.
