Pate Chinois which is like Shepherd's Pie except that the only vegetable in it is corn. My Mother used to make it for us when we were growing up. It always make me feel better.

Potatoes, any kind of potato, baked, mashed, fried. I am not crazy about scalloped or au gratin, but I love potatoes.
