What's your favorite home remedy for a cold?

A couple shots of Hiram Walker's Ginger Brandy. If you can't handle a straight shot, mix it with some ginger ale in a rocks glass filled with ice and a twist of lemon.
If you don't want to drink it, pour it in a spoon and take it like cough medicine. It will warm you to your toes.

Its been years since I've had a cold (I'm a fanatical hand washer), but if I'm feeling a bit under the weather, I take a hot bath and climb into a warm bed w/ a strong cup of tea that has a shot of whiskey, lemon, and honey in it. When I wake up, the feeling has passed.

Sinupret is a little pricey, but it work wonders. It is very popular in Europe. You can buy it in the US at health food type stores. I also find that taking Silver (also from the health food store) works wonders, too. It is also pricey.
Sinus rinsing when I can feel it coming on also seems to help me get better sooner. But don't try it if you can't breathe through both sides of your nose.
Lots of rest and plenty of fluids helps, too.

Lots of zinc, vitamin c and vicks vapor rub. My grandmother also put vicks on the bottom of our feet and made us put socks on and some vicks on the chest and then into bed with a cup of warm water, brandy, lemon and honey. Always seemed to work. Maybe the brandy just knocked us out.
