One thing I say a lot is "okey dokey artichokey".
And my motto is a line from "Pippin", a musical from years ago:
"The one thing to be sure of is there's nothing to be sure of".

I've got a couple I think of often. One, when I'm feeling overwhelmed and having a Pity Party, is "how all things do conspire against thee" which I think is from Hamlet, and the other I saw on a calendar with the Ziggy character on it many years ago. He said "today has been one heck of a week." LOL Sometimes that seems soooo true!

The ones dh and I are adopting lately are "it is what it is" and "this too will pass" to keep life in perspective.

'If it won't matter in twenty years - it doesn't matter'. I say that a lot, especially to DGD. I quote the Golden Rule alot too. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." This is no dress rehersal - The late Jim White - KMOX Radio - The Voice of St. Louis. By the time I read all 8 pages of these I counldn't remember all I wanted to say. I have lots, can't remember them all now.

I always say my Son's motto is " Don't do anything that can be put off until tomorrow, and everything can be put off". Of course, he is a procastinator.

A lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

This too shall pass, maybe like a kidney stone, slow and very painful but this too shall pass.

Gitter done.

Variety is the spice of life.

Pray that the light at the end of the tunnel is not an oncoming train.

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden.

When we were kids, if we got into our dads' tools, or something we shouldn't have been into, his comment was "keep your pickle packers out".
