When did you get your first AARP advertisement in the mail. I first started getting it when I was 41. Are they trying to tell me something? lol

the love of my life got her first AARP mailing last week; she will be 50 in a couple of weeks. I haven't got one yet but I don't turn 50 til next summer. A good friend went ahead and joined when he got the first one---in his late 30's. Enjoys the discounts....

I do NOT enjoy their political agenda so I won't join.

Don't remember what ages I started getting such, but I do remember getting all the 'join the marines' info as a college student, back before it was common for women to be in the military, addressed to Mr. Pat Xxxx. Thought that was pretty funny.
But the ones that really got me were the credit card company ones for my daughter when she was ten years old!

Somehow I got on thier list in my early twenties. I had gotten married and moved cross country. My parents were receiving them addressed in my name at thier house for quite some time. It was a standard joke on our phone calls.

My daughter got her first at 21 and I told her to fill it out and send it back. A few weeks later she got another letter from them telling her she did not qualify for it. I wonder why they spend so much money sending them in the first place.
