Yes, I am a boring rule follower. I take it all the way back into the store if necessary.

I always try to return them to the cart corral or to the store. If it is rainy, cold, snowy, etc, I always try to park as close to the corral as possible.

I ALWAYS return my cart, either right back into the store, or to the designated cart return space. I also take a cart from near or around my car to take INTO the store. This prevents me from having to go back outside in the event there aren't any inside, due to lack of employees bringing them inside. Even if I won't be needing to use a cart, I take it inside for the same reason. I find it so RIDICULOUS to see people walk right past a cart. What is the harm in taking one inside---you're going there anyway!
