This really happened!
So these two chickens have been at the local post office for at least a month and yesterday they were standing by the side of the road, good enough to get hit, so I rolled down my window and asked them "Why did the chicken cross the road?" They stood there looking at me like I was stupid..... and then they crossed the road to get to the other side.
And I just happened to have my camera with me

Don't know what it's called but he's beautiful! Glad he didn't get hit!

My great grandpa used to raise Red Rock chickens and my mom and dad used to raise chickens to butcher. I gathered eggs at my grandparents farm when I was a kid.
I love this picture!!! Makes me think of the Country Mouse going to see his City Mouse cousin. I wonder if this rooster had a City cousin?

I don't know if you all noticed, but the rooster is following a red hen across the street. Her tail end is visible right behind my car. They've been camping out on the lawn at the post office for a while. It's pretty funny because this is in town, no farms around. No houses close by either.
Here's another look at them from another day.
