My original plan was to post a pic taken right after a good hair cut. But I can never find specific pictures on the computer. As I was searching I ran across this one of me as a flower. If I can't look model-esque at least I can look fun. One of these days I will locate my favorite pic, and you will all see that I do have hair.

I'm from Cheshire, Massachusetts, and I have a big, stripey cat -- hence my quilting name -- and that's Frankie napping on a section of a donated huge trip around the world quilt that I cut into four and bound to send to Haiti for sleeping mats as part of Project Linus. His regular job is making sure there is enough fur on top of the ironing board while he naps and toasts himself crispy by the woodstove.

My avatar was taken at my granddaughter's wedding. I made the veil and it has hand crocheted lace with seed pearls crocheted in the lace. It was a labor of love. This picture was precious. we were getting her ready.

I took this picture one overcast day & was surprised at how it made the rose pop. When I was trying to decide about my avatar this picture made me think of the "Yellow Rose of Texas."

My cat. In a box (as God intended).

Otherwise, it's a quilt block or a rose from my garden.

My avatar pic is my cheif quilt inspector and swet furbaby Luckybear. I have two other quilt inspectors who may make appearances at other times - my other cat Blackery Binx and my sweet dog Hershey Kisses. At some point I may post a quilt as my avatar, but looking at pics of my furbabies always makes me smile!

The reason for my avatar is that my husband is a hunter/fisherman and all things outdoors and as a young man took a Taxidermy Course . He has stuffed all kinds of ducks and birds. This pheasant had a prominent place in the sunroom in the house he grew up. We bought his (our) home from his parents and I have been dusting this pheasant for 44 years!

Mine is a pic of "Toughie" our little long haired Chiuaua (spelling) that has to go to a new home. My DH is in cancer treatment as you all know, and we thought that Toughie would be good for our little girl Chuey because she has never been left alone, and now spends a lot of time alone while we are at the Cancer Center. Toughie has long hair - that sheds - EVERYWHERE - and Richard has become alergic. He is going to a very good home tomorrow, where they have other long hair babies, and a girlfriend for him. I have been promised a puppy when DH is better, and I have the time to devote to a high maintenance baby. My old avatar was one from the dinner we went to after our wedding ( just 2 years ago) I don't like to flash my face around, so until I have a new shot of Chuey, this one has to do. Besides, it will help me remember the little stinker.
