I use to make jelly and can vegetables, tomatoes, make up my own spaghetti sauce and pickles. We had three kids and it helped out. last kid left home 26 years ago and I started working. I don't do any of that any more. Just two of us and much less time and I just buy or make it as I go. I use all my free time making quilts. I still work everyday.

MMMMMM, nothing is as tasty as wild grape jelly! I sometimes see some of the ladies harvesting the wild grape leaves to make something like cabbage rolls only with grape leaves.

I used to live in Show Low, AZ, and there was a place nearby to pick wild grapes. They are small and have a big seed, but all the work is worth it! I never tasted better jelly!
