You can put all the Cds you own into Itunes and syncronize your ipod. I have small Ipod and never spent a penny on music. Just used my CDs. A few years back Pepsi had a promotion in which you saved 5 bottle caps for one song. A friend of mine has a redemption center and saved my son all her caps and he got tons of free music that way. Even the custodians at work were leaving pepsi cps on my desk at night. There are many applications that are very useful and free, like measurements conversions, e-mail, etc.

I have put loads of my cd's on, but I've also bought a whole bunch of songs too. Most albums are $9.99, and individual songs are $0.99. There are tons of free apps, and a lot of them are $5 or less too. So, actually I do have a lot of money invested in music, but it is so worth it. I also have a whole audio book on it, and it's only about half to 2/3 full!! Plus, like I said, I can surf the web where ever there is wifi. At work, the internet is really restricted (tighter than China! ), but I can still log onto the QMB and keep up with posts if I have a minute in between code browns!

Check out this quilting app:

I just downloaded it and it's worth the $4. Very very nice!

Gaigai, How much does something like you have cost?
I'm behind too, but love to listen to my music when doing schoolwork and thought I might get something with my loan money besides just books or a laptop.

I think you can also get the Kindle from Amazon and they have several free books as well.
It really isn't too bad to read on either.

Oh, you guys!! Quilting apps!! I have an iPOD, not iPhone but am definitely checking out those apps.

When I was putting Christmas music on my iPOD this year, I discovered that I own 31 Christmas CDs. No guessing what my favourite music is, eh :D

I bought a 16GB device and it has plenty of room for everything I've put on so far. My DD gave me piles of songs, many CDs are loaded, and some free music. These devices really ROCK!!

I have the 16 gig iPod touch, and I think the price dropped by half two weeks after I got mine :hunf: Now they are about $250. Make sure you get the second generation one, and you can get a case with a battery that lasts up to 72 hours. I'll have to check out the quilting apps, thanks!
