You are full of the best stories, the funniest tales, and the most amazing information. I never knew that she was in the service, or was a nurse. I knew she entertained the troops. The biggest surprise is that she is buried at Fort Bragg. I live 25 miles from there.

Thanks Ditter!

Isn't it interesting to take the time to learn the background story of a lot of the actors and actresses, comedians and children's show hosts and learn of the great service they did for our country.

Mr. Rogers was another one.

I thought i read that he had to do Comunity Service for a crime he had commited. The show was the comunity service.
It said that was the Urban Legend. He did want the Vietnam War to be defunded and the money go to educational television for kids. I don't know if that makes him bad or good! LOL! My hubby was in the Navy and flew the A6 Intruder during Desert Storm. I have to say the Marine uniforms are sexy! Navy, not so much. Thank you for your service!

Thanks, Ditter, I forgot about her hx. Nice to be reminded.
I thought Mr. Rogers served in the Navy, and had tatoos on his arms, and that was the reason he always wore long sleeved shirts.

She was a favorite of mine. I never heard of this but many times people do not know the whole story. She was a favorite to many wounded there I am sure. Thank you for opening our eyes and hearts to getting to know what she done out of Love, not withstand lifting many hearts.
