It's really sad when its 102 after the sun goes down and you think it is so nice and cool out!!! ;-)
We got lots of wind damage last night with a good rain, our first since May, so the cool down and rain were worth the damage!!! And its thundering and lightening out now too! Love it!!!! :-D

I am a 5th generation Texan. The lakes are down making them unsafe due to bacteria. The crops are dying in some field. Cattle, horses are dying or being sold off. The wild animals are on the move looking for water. Foxes are drinking from my son's water trough for his goats. Snakes also are moving around. The # of animals killed on the roads is up. I am hot and I stay in with ceiling fans and floor fans. A/C is moved up, hopefully to avoid rolling brown outs.I heard tonight this is THE worst drought in Texas history, topping the drought of 1918.

I love Texas! I used to spend my summers in NE Texas. So many wonderful memories. The cousins I stayed with didn't have AC. I had a fan in my room though! :)
