could use somebody to paint my porch," he said, "How much will you charge
me?" Delighted, the girl quickly responded, "How about $50?" The man
agreed and told her that the paint brushes and everything she would need
was in the garage. The man's wife, hearing the conversation said to her
husband, "Does she realize that our porch goes ALL the way around the

He responded, "That's a bit cynical, isn't it?" The wife replied,
"You're right. I guess I'm starting to believe all those dumb blonde jokes
we've been getting by email lately." Later that day, the blonde teenager
came to the door to collect her money. "You're finished already?" the
startled husband asked. "Yes, she replied, and I even had paint left
over, so I gave it two coats." Impressed, the man reached into his pocket
for the $50.00 and handed it to her along with a $10.00 tip. "And by the
way, "the blonde teenager added, "it's not a Porch, it's a Lexus.
Love that one....my DD, who is a natural blonde (now 13), when she was 10 saw a t-shirt that she just had to have. It read "I had a nightmare I was a blond". As it was very clear that she understood the irony of a blond wearing something like that, we bought it. You would be amazed at the number of people that stopped her when she was wearing it and said something along the lines of 'but honey, you are a blond'. Her response was always polite, but direct "I know, that's why it is funny". Shocked quite a few of them that someone that of her age would get that humor.
Our youngest daughter is blonde, and has an I.Q. OF 150. :)
That's about where Grace is....we haven't had her IQ tested, but when she took the GATE test she was in the 99th percentile. At 13 she is one year ahead in school and in advanced classes. Aren't they sometimes just scary smart?
So true, they do grow up fast. I didn't allow them to advance Stacey in school. I felt her need for kids her own age and not to pressure her was a better choice. She is now 21, married and the mother of 2 beautiful girls.
That is so great. We only allowed them to move her ahead one grade...when we transferred her from Montessori to public schools when she was six, she tested at a 5th grade level. We agreed to put her in 3rd, knowing that we didn't want her too far ahead, but were also concerned about boredom.
