Hi, Jil and welcome from Georgia. As you can see, you are not alone in your feelings about quilting. I used to think I was less of a quilter because I did not like to quilt, but I have gotten over that guilt!!! I just keep making tops and let someone else do the rest for me!

jilly-We are glad to have you here w/all the rest of us addicted quilting, notion people!:0)The machine quilting isn't always for all of us but, it sounds more like you are in a rush over there since it's not yours. I do my own machine quilting, mostly stippling or straightline to save my money and put it in more fabric:0). Just don't forget to turn on some music you enjoy before mach. quilting! Keep us posted...Skeat

Hi Jill. I'm new here too. I also like making quilt tops but have not been crazy about the quilting process. I have recently gotten excited about it because it is another way to express your artistic side in the quilt. Also, it was hard for me to think about just quilting a small section at the time as opposed to being overwhelmed by the entire quilt. Hang in there.
