Totally agree with you about the fishing and ruining one's clothes. It's also very hard on a manicure. Quilting is so much more civilized, and no bugs! And just think of the beautiful quilts you can make! It's a learning curve, you can't get around that. I was a seamstress (as a hobby), and a good one, yet was humbled by all the new skills I had to learn in order to quilt well. In fact, am still learning! And since I'm in the right place for that, you must be as well! Truly, this Quilting Board is awesome! A wonderful, welcoming group of very talented and experienced quilters who are more than willing to share their knowledge.

So welcome aboard from sunny Nevada!
