Hi, Carolina Quilter! My husband and I just came back from babysitting one of our grandbabies, in Savannah. We stopped in Charlotte on the way home . . . really liking the Lake Norman area. My husband will soon be retiring, and we liked the area. While our children were raised in the Atlanta area, they have all settled in the NE. We don't tolerate the cold so well anymore. How do you like living in NC? Have a great day!

Hello and welcome Britgirl,
I live in the Kannapolis area of this beautiful state.
Hope to see some of your art quilts.
This is a great place to fellowship and learn.
Have a wonderfully blessed day.

Brit, In case someone hasn't told you there is a fabulous quilt and fabric store called MaryJo's in Gastonia. Ask around and someone will be able to tell you directions. They have every kind of fabric from cottons to silks, stains, etc that you might like to use for your art quilts.

lass,

Thank you for recommending MaryJo's, in Gastonia, NC. My husband and I are considering retiring to the Charlotte area. I checked out MaryJo's website . . . phenominal!
