Coming Out of Lurkdom
#1
I have been lurking on the boards for a while and decided it was time to start being social. I started quilting back in 2004 when I was looking for a keepsake to give my mil and fil decided to move to Colorado after fil retired. The last year and a half I have not been able to quilt or scrapbook due to work and family issues.
I placed a picture of my father as my avatar to remind me that life is too short to focus on work all time. I am a workaholic. My father suffered a stroke two weeks ago and is slowly recovering. He has done so much for his family and friends throughout the years that the least I can do is take time from work to enjoy my family and friends.
I look forward to learning so much from all of you. The pictures I see of your beautiful work gives me hope that I can be as talented as all of you some day.
Thanks for having such a wonderful place where I can learn and share.
Nicole.
