lol...i'm sure we've all been there...google how to bind a quilt and then select videos from youtube...that's how i've learned for the most part...

Hello from CA. Congrats on trying the mad quilty thing from the hip. Question: Did you square off your piece? Hard to say from the pic. If you square it, binding will probably be easier.

Wow, your sushi looks great!
Hang in there with the binding and RELAX - I find when I am worrying about whether my work is any good is when I discover I've sewed the darn thing together inside out. I've even pinned things inside out and not noticed it. I think on my first and only quilt I spent a third quilting, and two-thirds ripping out the stuff I did wrong. Keep the faith! And this board is just the best place for a new quilter.Welcome from snowy MA

Welcome from Missouri! sushi and placemat look good! I learn best by doing...and usually that involves a seam ripper. Glad to have you aboard!
