Yes EQ6 can be used without internet. I know from personal experience that having you EQ (whatever version) on a laptop or any "dedicated" computer is a good idea because you won't have to wait to design when the mood strikes. Also, having it on a laptop that you can take with you to a class is great, especially when you need to re-size / re-design a project because you've made a cutting error. Ask me how I know that one. :-)

oops...thanks for the correction. I was thinking about Eq7...between software versions, firmware versions, and model numbers, I mixed up EQ6 with EQ7. Thanks again

Thanks to everyone. You are the best, that's why I asked the question here. And by the way, I am not new to the board but for some reason they PM'd me and said they moved my question to this section. A little confusing but as long as I get the answer I don't mind.
