Finally breaking the ice from Pennsylvania!
#1
Hi to all. Cannot tell you how happy I am to have found this message board. Everyone is so talented and nice. I really look forward to visiting the board everyday to see what is new. I have been lurking here for several months so felt it was time to say hello. I live in southern Pennsylvania right on the Maryland border. Husband and I are actually Marylanders by birth. I have been sewing for years and years, mainly home dec type of projects. My mother was a seamstress and supported her family on the sewing machine for over 40 years. I left work in June of '09 for medical reasons and promised myself I would learn to quilt. There never seemed to be enough time when I was working. I am on my third quilt now and just having a ball. At a time in my life I needed a lift and quilting was just the ticket. This board has definately added to my excitement and each new quilt I see I want to add to my project list! Thanks to all for the hints and help. This is a temendously talented group. Regards, Barb O'

Hi, Barb, from Bedford VA, where today was reasonably warm and sunny -- (compared to the Christmas visit to Colorado Springs!!) We look forward to seeing some pictures when you're ready to share.
