Welcome to the board. You might want to take some scrap material and just start cutting it to different widths to get the feel of it. Once you see that you can do it you might be more relaxed. Do this several times at different times of the day or evening. There will be no pressure on you to not mess up your fabric. Just go for it a few times on the scraps. I sometimes still have a hard starting, but I use a few scraps first to get rid of the tension I'm feeling. I bet you will be doing it in no time and enjoying it.

Welcome from Alberta, Canada. Just try to relax and have fun. We have all made mistakes but they can always be used in something else. You will find wonderful, helpful people here and in no time you will be making gorgeous quilts.

Hello from Western Mountain Maryland !! :-D
Moonwork42029 has a great suggestion - that is how I started with a rotory cutter & I made Crazy patch quilts from my practice cuts. ;-)

Cynthia
Have you thought about the Accuquilt, a friend of mine, who has a similiar problem, got it and it has made life so much easier.
