Hi Reba and welcome. Love the big orange kitty. We used to have one just like him for 14 wonderful yrs. His name was Tubbs because when he was younger he weighted 14 lbs. As he got older and skinnier the name didn't fit and people would always ask why we named him that. lol
opps sorry got off subject...us cat people do that.
I agree about wanting to test drive before investing that kind of money, hope you receive lots of great advise.

welcome ... and here's my advice.
find a friend or shop with a framed rig (machine moves over quilt sandwich) you can test drive.
compare that to the way you feel about the process and results of quilting on a stationary machine (quilt sandwich moves under needle).
factor in all the extra work space the George provides for "stationary quilting".
that should bring you closer to a decision.
