I just tried this method for sandwiching I discovered on this QB and it worked great. Your backing, batting and top line up easily and no wrinkles to worry about. Check out the links below. It's a 2 part utube tutorial (short ones).
It gives you a lot of control. Now if I can just get better at FMQ. Oh well, I guess practice makes perfect.

Pat-w, thank you so much for the link to the tutorial. I'm embarrassed to say that I never knew the backing should be larger than the quilt top, which is probably why sandwiching a quilt always gave me such fits. I've learned something already!
