Morning :)
Just joining the board, although I've been lurking for quite some time. I've really enjoyed reading everything on this board over the past year or so. But, finally had to join as I had a hint I wanted to add :)
I've been a quilter for some time, and now do longarming also. Having a great time - now that I don't work!
Have a wonderful day,
Debbie in Austin

Welcome fromCA. Its a great board isnt it? I am so glad I found this in a random search for quilting information. Its the best I have ever come on and the inspirations here are in abundance. We will enjoy seeing some of your works (or works in progress).

That's exactly how I found this board - a random search. I belong to several LA groups, but do get a bit tired of that topic and like to read more about the piecing side. I miss piecing and reading about it and the latest, greatest patterns. It seams like I do so much LA, since I do it for myself and charity (to which there is always a need, and never an end!), that I rarely have time to finish my own projects. Keeping in mind I don't get paid for this either - so it's not as if it's a business :) Just no excuse for it!
This year, my goal is to do more piecing and quilting for myself. My hubby has requested I make some things for the house, and quit giving EVERYTHING away. He's OK with some charity and family gifts, but to give away everything...well, let's just say he'd like to have more around the house. And he's entitled, since he pays for it all! LOL!

Hi Debbie and welcome from a fellow Texan. I split my time between Lubbock (where my home is) and Austin (where my grandson is). Right now I'm spending most of my time in Austin to take care of him while his mom works and goes to school. Glad to have you with us.
