Where in Northern Illinois are you? I was born in Sycamore and now live in Northern California. I have a wonderful Bernini 1130, I think. It's older but a real workhorse. I just love it. Have fun with that new machine. There's nothing like a Bernina. Well, almost nothing!!

Hello and welcome to this great quilting board from northwestern Louisiana. I used to live in Wonder Lake IL. Still miss it sometimes.

Hello and welcome from eastern PA! I don't know about Bernina's but I do have a Babylock Esante. I purchased it 3 weeks ago but I do love it. It's an investment for sure, so make sure your research the machine you want. I don't know if my machine is considered "upper level" but it's a combo sewing/embroidery machine. Lots of wonderful features. . Good luck!
