Hi Kat,
I hope this message finds you & your family well. My name is Estella & I joined this website last year in January & you sent me a "Welcome" & also asked what kind of Viking machine I had. I'm sorry to say that I lost track of this website & didn't see any of the responses that I got until now. We live in such a small world. I have an Aunt that lives in Casa Grande, my grandmother & another aunt also lived there until they passed away. Not sure where she lives exactly bcuz I haven't been out there in a long time.
Any-whooo, as my sister says, to answer your question, I have a Designer SE & I love it. It was the last Swiss Made of the embroidery machines made by Viking & I would not trade her for anything. I had it in storage for a couple of years & once I got it out & now have a sewing room, she has a prominent place in my sewing room & she gets used quite often. I have quite a few other sewing machines, a couple of sergers, but she is my favorite. I bought her & paid her off before I retired so that I could enjoy all of my "TOYS" without guilt. LOL!
I hope that you still visit this website & that I hear back from you, so we can share. If not, may got keep you & your family safe & God Bless You All.
Stella
