I have recently started making quilted projects from squares of all sizes and am looking for new projects. I am looking for easy ways to make Attic Windows because received some interesting picture blocks.

Welcome to the board! I'm sure there is someone here who can help with the Attic blocks since I've not done that kind yet!

Greetings from Northern CA. Have you done mitered corners before? That's all an attic window is: a feature fabric square (the window pane) framed by a side (the window casing or curtain) and a bottom (the window sill).

We discussed the miters in a different thread and I did a quick sketch to explain how I do mine. Check the attached pdf - maybe it helps.

There is one method that uses 1/2 square triangles in the corner so that you avoid Y seams :D:D:D
