The pattern for the bright rainbow one is real simple, just half square triangles and squares. I made them 4 inch (finished size). For the squares choose five different medium pattern prints in each color family, numbered them 1 through 5, and put them in the quilt in order.
This quilt top is from a kit, but I am going to make at least one more quilt top like this, using fabrics I have picked out, as I found some more good bright fabrics to use. I may use six or seven prints and make it larger though.
One "trick" is finding blue, red, green and yellow fabrics from the same family for the HSTs, so in the HST's, both triangles seem to belong to each other.
I also used the Thangles paper pattern to mass produce the HSTs. Much quicker, although during Shop Hop I saw a very cool stencil with iron off chalk that you could use instead. Much easier than removing paper.
I think I may go get that... UglyCook? trip to Oly?
Anything that is quicker and easier is for me!
