Hello from WI (GO PACKERS!!)
#1
I am a mom to 4 kids 1 7yr old boy, 1 8yr old girl, and 2 10yr old boys... as well as having a 1yr old beagle. I started quilting (well making quilt tops anyhow) quite some time ago. I did one complete twin size quilt for my son but did not do the binding right. I LOVE quilting. It is something fun and relaxing for me to do while my kids and hubby are gone during the day. My family also really appreciates handmade gifts so I enjoy it for that reason as well. I am glad to have found this forum and hopefully some new people who understand my obsession (and why i have a TON of fabric in my crafting closet in bins...but i cant resist ebay!!!) Hope to talk soon! :D :D

Hi there! I am from Menominee, Mi, which is about an hour north of Green Bay. (Go Pack!) Welcome aboard!
Sounds like you have your hands full with all those kids- good for you for finding something that you can do for YOU! If you didn't quilt, all that fabric would make you look crazy, huh? LOL! (I have a closet full, too. I sneak it in the house while DH is at work.)
Have you been able to take a class or two at your local quilt store? I did that and learned a lot.
I have quilted almost all my life, but I didn't do it "right" until I started taking classes and reading books. I used to flip the back over to the front for my binding- and you know what? It worked. I still use those quilts and they keep me warm! (I am referring to your other thread.)
So anyway, I second the person who said to look on You Tube for a tutorial for the binding. There are a lot of them for machine quilting, too.

Hello from Minnesota! Where in Sconie are you? My DH and I both went to college in Oshkosh and still have a lot of friends out that way and my in laws live down by Waukesha. As you can see from my avatar, we are a house full of Packer fans living in Viking country.
Remeber to post pictures. We all love pictures and there is a ton of help available here!
