Hi and welcome. When I quilt on a large frame where the whole quilt is spread out, I have always started at the edges and then rolled frame to the middle until I can reach the middle. If that makes sense. That is the way I was taught by my mother. If I am doing a large embordry hoop, I always start in the middle

WELCOME JUNEBEA - you'll love this msg. board - filled w/helpful sharing quilters.

Where to start might depend on the size of your frame - if it is a hand-held round/square type, think I would start in the middle & work out.

If it is a larger 3 rail roller like I use, (pic attached) I start at the bottom, go from rt. side to left, then roll it up to the next section to be done. The one in the pic is almost finished & that is the "pillow" top section of the quilt.

Good luck & be sure & post pics of your work. We all love to see the beautiful work of each other.

Have a blessed day & may all your quilts be filled w/love.
