I have an Ultraglide Tefal iron that must be 25 years old that I used in my business for most of that time. It holds a lot of water and does not spit. However, I have no idea where it was purchased and have not seen any since I bought it. It is a little heavier than a lot of irons, but that just means you don't have to put much pressure on it when ironing. Oh, by the way WELCOME neighbor.

Hi and welcome from Michigan. I use a Oreck. I use to live in Leander back in 1980 there wasn't anything there at that time.

I bought two Rowentas at thrift or resale shops. They are older models with little use that were still made in Germany. Neither leaks. I hear the new ones (made in China now) are terrible and I wouldn't waste my money.
